Half an hour, during the day, while the centre is busy. Bring your child along. Seeing how they settle into the space will tell you more than we can.

Which days, what hours, and when you want to start. We will tell you honestly what we have and what the wait looks like if we don't have it yet.

Enrolment forms
Enrolment agreement, immunisation records, emergency contacts, and anything we need to know about allergies, medication or routines.

Settling visits
Two or three short visits before the first full day, with you there for the first ones. Some children need one. Some need five. We go at your child's pace, not the calendar's.

First day
Your child's primary teacher will already know their name, their routine and what they like. You will get a message during the day, because the first one is harder on parents.

7.45am – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday
All day and part day options. We are closed on public holidays and for a short break over Christmas and New Year.
Six months to school age
Fifty licensed places, up to fifteen of them for children under two.
Morning and afternoon tea provided
Prepared here, following Ministry of Health guidance. Lunch comes from home. We store and heat it.
Talked through on the tour
Fees depend on the days and hours you need, so we go through them with you properly rather than putting a single number on a website.
20 Hours ECE
Children aged three, four and five are eligible for the government's 20 Hours ECE funding. We will show you exactly how it applies to the days you have chosen.
FamilyBoost
Households earning under $180,000 a year may be able to claim back a share of their early childhood fees through FamilyBoost. Ask us and we will point you at the right forms.
Waitlist
If we don't have the days you need, we will put you on the waitlist with your preferred start date and keep you updated rather than leaving you to chase us.

Before you ask
The questions we get on every tour
What are your teacher to child ratios?
For children under two, at least one teacher to every five children. For children two and over, at least one to every ten. Those are the minimums set for all-day centres in the Education (Early Childhood Services) Regulations, and we meet them at all times.
Ratios are a floor, not a description of a room. When you come in, ask how many teachers are on the floor in the room your child would be in that day, and we will tell you the real number.
What happens if my child is sick?
Please keep them home if they have had vomiting or diarrhoea in the past 48 hours, a temperature, or anything infectious. It is hard on a working week, we know, but it is how we keep it from going round the whole centre.
If your child becomes unwell while they are here, we will ring you. Until you arrive they stay comfortable, somewhere quiet, with a teacher they know. For chickenpox, measles, hand foot and mouth and similar, we follow the Ministry of Health exclusion periods, and we will let you know when something is going around so you are not caught out.
Is there a sleep time?
The under twos have their own sleep room and sleep to their own routine rather than to a timetable. Tell us what you do at home and we will follow it as closely as we can.
Older children who still nap have a quiet space to use. If your child has finished with naps, they will not be made to lie down and wait for the others.
What do I need to bring?
Lunch, a drink bottle, a change of clothes, and a sunhat from September through to April. Nappies and wipes if your child is still in them. Morning and afternoon tea are provided here.
Name everything. Fifty children and one lost gumboot is a long afternoon.
What about allergies and medication?
Tell us at enrolment and we will write it into your child's file and onto the kitchen wall. Anything serious gets a plan agreed with you before the first day, and every teacher on the floor knows it.
Medication is stored out of reach, given only with your written authority, and signed for each time. If something changes mid-term, tell us that morning rather than waiting for a form.
Have you been reviewed by ERO?
Yes. We opened in 2023, and our first Education Review Office evaluation was in September 2025. ERO publishes every report in full, so rather than quote the bits that suit us, here is the whole thing: read our ERO report.
It is worth reading for any centre you are considering, not just ours.
Can we do part time?
Yes. All day and part day both work, and plenty of families here do two or three days rather than five. What we have available changes through the year, so the honest answer depends on when you want to start and which days you need.
